Get ready for Commencement!

NOTE: Registered seniors will be receiving this information in an informational mailing during spring break at their permanent addresses.

Grad Fair

April 18 - 21, 2017 | 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Vendor Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Bay Tree Bookstore Graduation Center

April 18 - June 2, 2017

Monday - Friday | 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.


Cap & Gown Rental: (not including tax)
> Bachelor gown, keepsake cap and tassel $39.99
with bachelor hood (Stevenson only) $47.99

> Master gown, hood, cap and tassel   $49.99

> Ph.D. gown, hood, cap and tassel   $52.99

(Masters and Ph.D. regalia must be ordered by April 28 to avoid additional shipping fees.)

Graduation Announcements:
Students have the option to order personalized graduation announcements on-line (http://slugstore.ucsc.edu) or in-person at the Bay Tree Bookstore beginning April 18. CB Announcements will be in house April 18-21, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. to answer any questions. Personalized announcements are available in quantities of 25, after which additional increments of 5 may be purchased.

Class Rings:
Students may order UCSC class rings at the Bay Tree Bookstore. Representatives from Jostens and Balfour will be at the store on advertised dates in April, May and June with special promotional prices.

Graduation Portraits and Photographs:
Students have two options for graduate photographs.

April 18-21, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. individual portraits in several packages will be available for inclusion in your announcement mailings.

June 12-16 , 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. group and individual photos and packages will be available during cap and gown distribution.

Cap & Gown Distribution:
Distribution will take place on the second floor of the Bay Tree Bookstore,

June 12-16, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.,

June 17, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and

June 18, 8:00–2:00 p.m.

THE BAY TREE BOOKSTORE WILL BE OPEN SPECIAL HOURS ON SUNDAY, JUNE 18, 8A.M.-2P.M.

Note: Gowns and hoods should be returned immediately following each ceremony. Gown return locations will be available at each graduation and at the bookstore. Any gowns or hoods not returned by Sunday must be returned to the Bay Tree Bookstore on Monday, June 19, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Students who do not return regalia will be billed for replacement costs.


Regalia Purchases:
Anyone who would like to purchase custom regalia may do so now through April 7, 2017. This should be done sooner then later as the rush for regalia picks up in March and April. For details, please contact Sharon Pena at 459-2990 or regalia@ucsc.edu - Hours: Weekdays, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
