Room Options

Rachel Carson College is comprised of eight Residence Hall buildings and six apartment buildings. 

 

Residence Hall Options:

  • Single: Private rooms typically only available to upperclassmen 
  • Double: Shared room with one other person
  • Triple: Shared room with two others. 
  • Quad: Shared room with three others. 
  • Three double rooms suite** (6 residents) - suites do not include a kitchen and require a meal plan. 

All Residence Hall spaces are furnished with the following:

  • Bed
  • Mattresss
  • Dresser
  • Desk
  • Chair
  • Armoire/Closet
  • Lighting Fixture
  • Mirror
  • Posting Board

The suite unit includes a living space and bathroom. 


Apartment Options:

Apartment rooms are furnished with the following:

  • Bed
  • Mattress
  • Dresser
  • Desk
  • Chair
  • Armoire/Closet
  • Bookshelf
  • Mirror
  • Light Fixture
  • Posting Board

Apartments also have a full kitchen, living space, one bathroom and private rooms. Kitchens include a refrigerator and stove.

Triple-Triple

One common apartment configuration at Rachel Carson College is the Triple-Triple Apartment. Six-person apartments are divided into two rooms, three people per room. Rooms within the apartments are single-gender, but apartments may be single-gender or co-ed.

  • Available in Building 02. 
  • Available in Building 06.

Other common apartment configurations at Rachel Carson College include the Triple-Single-Single Apartment. This five-person apartment is divided into three rooms; three people in one room, and one in each of the other two rooms. Rooms within the apartments are single-gender, but apartments may be single-gender or co-ed.

  • Available in Building 05.

Double-Triple*

The least common apartment configuration at Rachel Carson College. This five-person apartment is divided into two rooms; three people in one room, and two people in the other room. Rooms within the apartments are single-gender, but apartments may be single-gender or co-ed. There are a limited number of this apartment configuration available.

  • *This apartment type is located on the first floor of a residence hall building.
