Lauren Reed is a UCSC graduate, with a B.A. in American Studies. She has worked with the College Eight staff for more than 15 years, initially in Residential Life and currently as an Academic Preceptor advising undergraduate students. Lauren leads the College Eight advising team and has a strong commitment to the holistic development of College Eight students.
Jan Burroughs has been on the College Eight staff for over 25 years, and has been an Academic Adviser for the past 15 years. Jan received her BA from UCSC in Environmental Studies. She works with the entire College Eight student population on a variety of academic issues, but her specific areas of expertise are advising students in academic difficulty, Education Abroad Program planning, Honors, CEP appeals, and major selection.
