Westside Writing Center

The Westside Writing Center (WWC) offers writing consultation services and tutoring designed to teach and support undergraduate students in all aspects of scholastic writing.  We serve Kresge, Oakes, Porter,  Rachel Carson College and Colleges Nine and Ten students.

We offer you vital assistance for all your writing needs, including supplementing the writing pedagogy for the College Writing and Core courses, supporting non-native language speakers, and assisting students with disabilities.

All of our consultants either hold or are pursuing a graduate degree and are professionally experienced tutors, writers, and/or teachers.  Our consultants have diverse academic specialties to serve your varied academic needs with robust and personalized help.

The Westside Writing Center is located in Oakes Administration Building room 111.

We operate Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters.

We are available Monday–Thursday from 10–8 and Friday from 10–6.

This is a popular resource and slots fill quickly!  You may schedule as many tutoring consultations as you need—please be responsible and considerate.   Please cancel your appointments online at least 4 hours in advance in order to make the time available for other students and avoid a “No Show” appointment.  If you have a last minute emergency, please email the tutor directly and explain.  Irresponsible use of the WWC resources may result in losing your privileges at the WWC.

If you have any questions, please email Andrea Seeger, WWC Director at anseeger@ucsc.edu.
