Mail Room

Notice
The mailroom will experience decreased hours in the summer. New management will take over soon and more frequent hours will be established.
---
Student Life and Housing does not have access to our mailroom and operates under a completely different department. Route any concerns or questions directly to us at rccmail@ucsc.edu for a response. The supervisor checks this email regularly and will get back to you soon, as long as you contact us directly.
---
Due to the strikes and demonstrations, UPS isn't delivering to the mailroom, as a result, UCSC Receiving Services is holding packages at the barns near the base of campus for processing. They are picking up packages from UPS to accommodate. Receiving is extremely understaffed and your package has to go through them at first. Unfortunately, if you have a UPS package, we are unable to give estimates for when they will reach our mailroom and thus be ready to be processed.
---
RCC Mailroom will not be offering forwarding services for letters or packages. Any student packages or letters left in the mailroom during the summer will be returned to sender without notification to the student. It is the student's responsibility to check emails for automated reminders for packages and check mailboxes for letters.

Where do I pick up my packages?

If you receive a package, we will send an email to your UCSC email address. To retrieve your package, bring a photo ID to the mailroom during open hours and a staff member will help you. Packages are not kept indefinitely. Packages that are not picked up in a timely manner are deemed unclaimed and then returned to sender. No e-mails are sent out for small packages. If a package is small enough to fit in your mailbox, the package will be placed there.
