Our Core Course and the Writing Requirement

Rachel Carson College 1 (CRSN 1, 5 credits) is required of all entering First-Year students. You will find it under Carson College in the searchable Schedule of Classes.  The course will consist of a Monday evening plenary (lecture) and a 2-3 times per week discussion section. All students attend the plenary but the discussions are small seminars with roughly 30 students and the times and days will vary.  

Writing courses are required in the first quarter for some students based on information you will find on the Writing Program site.
